Professional Bio

Dr. Karen Kozachyn is an accomplished higher education leader with over 25 years of experience advancing workforce development, community education, and technical training. Since 2006, she has served Delaware County Community College (DCCC) in progressively senior roles, currently as Vice President of Workforce & Economic Development. In this capacity, Dr. Kozachyn provides strategic leadership for a multi-campus division that includes 11 departments, overseeing credit and non-credit programs serving over 8,000 students annually in fields such as advanced technology, skilled trades, emergency medical services, and municipal police training.
Her responsibilities include aligning divisional initiatives with the College’s strategic plan, cultivating partnerships with employers and community organizations, developing and managing grant opportunities, and representing the College at the local, state, and national levels on workforce and economic development issues.
Previously, Dr. Kozachyn served as Dean of Workforce Development and Community Education at DCCC, where she led the development of innovative programs and strengthened collaborations with K-12 partners and industry leaders. She has also held leadership roles at Camden County College where she designed and implemented workforce training and continuing education programs.
An active contributor to the field, Dr. Kozachyn serves on numerous boards and committees, including the National Council for Continuing Education and Training, Delaware County Workforce Development Board, Chester County Workforce Development Board, Delaware County Chamber Foundation, Chester Education Foundation, Community Action Agency of Delaware County, and industry advisory councils.
Dr. Kozachyn holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from Widener University, an M.S. in Strategic Leadership from Neumann University, a B.S. in Marketing from La Salle University, and two A.A.S. degrees from Camden County College
