Looking Ahead to Empower the Future Today

Artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies are reshaping jobs, organizations, and industries with unprecedented speed. The impact on higher education will be shaped by those with the strategic foresight to rethink how we operate and reimagine how we create, distribute, and capture value.

By participating in AFIT's 2024 learning design, you and your team will:

  • Become future-ready organizations by strengthening our strategic foresight capabilities.
  • Learn how AI and emerging technologies — like augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), 3-D printing, Internet of Things (IoT) — are disrupting the world faster than ever before (and why it matters to us).
  • Explore how we can leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance the student experience and increase operational efficiency.
  • Discover how AI and emerging technologies can empower the future of teaching and learning to prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow.
  • Explore the power of strategic partnerships between industry and higher education in addressing rising skills gap and ensuring a robust, technologically advanced talent pipeline for key industries.

About Summer Institute

AFIT's Summer Institute inspires innovation and leads to organizational transformation by exploring a strategically relevant topic with the guidance of world-class learning partners from highly successful organizations, mainly from sectors outside of higher education. Member CEOs and their teams will engage in dedicated "team time" to digest concepts and discuss how they could be applied at their organizations. This collaboration inspires innovative ideas that often become strategic initiatives back on campus or at the home office. Through AFIT's Idea Labs, attendees have an opportunity to learn about the experimentation happening at other AFIT member organizations and participate in real-time ideation and collective problem-solving.

Who's Invited?

  • AFIT member CEOs, Reps, and their teams

About the Hotel

The Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Spa aims to elevate our Summer Institute experience by blending modern enhancements with a local touch. The design constitutes a significant aspect of a $29.5M renovation, completed earlier this year. Embracing a water & earth theme while tailoring to its prime location within an authentic entertainment district.

Update: The hotel is now sold out. If you still need a room, please try the nearby Aloft or Tru.
