Academic Resilience in an AI-Saturated World

During this interactive, one-hour virtual session, national AI expert Dr. Robert Clougherty will lead us as we explore the academic core and one of the most urgent questions facing higher education: 

How does teaching and learning evolve when AI is everywhere?

We’ll discuss assessment redesign, academic integrity ecosystems (policies, tools, norms), and the role of AI as augmentation for teaching, learning, and research—alongside discipline-specific expectations and shared governance boundaries.

This will be a practical conversation designed to help you compare approaches and leave with clearer options for next steps.

We’ll explore questions such as:

• How does the learning contract survive—and even strengthen—in the AI era?
• What are institutions doing that’s actually helping faculty redesign assessment (not just police outputs)?
• How do we align academic freedom, integrity, and institutional expectations without creating policy whiplash?
