AFIT welcomes Dr. Rich Barnhouse, President of Waukesha County Technical College

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Rich Barnhouse, President of Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) in Pewaukee, Wisconsin to our collaborative community of innovators.  

Rich has led Waukesha County Technical College as President and CEO since 2021, following nearly two decades in higher education leadership across Wisconsin and Florida. 

He is an education innovator who understands how to disrupt traditional models, create sustainable change, and embrace cutting-edge technologies that will empower students to be productive in the workforce. 

Under his direction, WCTC introduced the AI Data Specialist program — the first two-year named AI degree offered in the state — alongside a hands-on Applied AI Lab, and launched Excelerate, a program that lets high school juniors and seniors attend WCTC full time and graduate with an associate degree. 

He joined AFIT’s community of visionary CEOs to expand his team’s exposure to innovative practices nationwide and collaborate with leaders shaping the future of higher education.
