AFIT welcomes Dr. Kendra Ericson, President of Western Dakota Technical College
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Kendra Ericson, President of Western Dakota Technical College in Rapid City, South Dakota to our collaborative community of innovators.
After an extensive search, Kendra assumed the role on July 1, 2025. Her appointment follows the untimely passing of AFIT member Dr. Ann Bolman, whose legacy of leadership continues to inspire the WDTC community. We are honored that the College’s involvement in AFIT will continue under Kendra’s visionary leadership.
Kendra comes to WDTC with an impressive national profile in technical education leadership. Her accomplishments include numerous national and regional leadership awards, published works in workforce development, and active membership in prominent national associations.
Prior to WDTC, she served as President of St. Luke's College and Director of Nursing Education at both Des Moines Area Community College and LeTourneau University, where she consistently demonstrated excellence in accreditation management and innovative program development.
Kendra’s commitment to innovative technical and workforce education, combined with her proven ability to build successful collaborative teams, aligns perfectly with our mission to strengthen educational outcomes through innovation and collaboration.
Donna Hanks, Director of Instructional Support and Professional Development, will continue to serve as WDTC’s AFIT Rep.
